Have you ever watched a dancing competition on television and wished you could move like that?  Even if you have never stepped foot on a dance floor, this new course will have you dancing the tango in just five weeks. You and your partner will learn the principles of leading and following, how to move your body to the music, gain better posture, balance and control. The last class will give you a chance to practice your moves and visit Audrey’s dance studio. Please wear comfortable shoes that will allow you to move in any direction without sticking to the floor.

This isn’t your grandma’s square dancing! This fun activity has changed significantly over the years. The fiddle and banjo have been replaced by more modern music from Elvis, the Judds, George Strait and Lady Gaga, although we still enjoy some of the traditional music. Square dancing is a great form of exercise and, if you are tracking steps, it is quite possible to get up to 10,000 steps at a dance. Recent studies have also shown that square dancing is great for keeping your mind sharp. Join this weekly class and enjoy the fun and friendship square dancing can bring.
